Ruth Yomtoubian is a genre-defying leader, corporate innovation pioneer, and visionary technologist who has spent much of her career incubating and facilitating start-up thinking at major companies and organizations. She is a shaper who brings initiatives from visualization to actualization. With an innate curiosity, she is quality-driven, and thinks big while building an iterative path for teams shaping the future.
As VP of Global Innovation, Ruth recently led a multi-disciplinary team to discover, evaluate, test, and scale innovative concepts into commercial solutions that accelerate growth and performance throughout VSP. Within this capacity, Ruth spearheaded VSP's initial steps into forming an AI strategy, including building a roadmap, system, and use case development and integration, as well as early prototypes and experiments. Innovation requires holding others to high standards, leading with authenticity, and having the experience and judgment to coach and nurture a world class team. Under her leadership, the VSP Global Innovation Center has become an important innovation player and disrupter in the healthcare and technology industries.
Prior to VSP, Ruth was a global consultant, with clients from the Bay Area to Latin America, facilitating their innovation initiatives, creating and supporting thought leadership necessary for organizations to internalize innovation opportunities, and generally combating “faux-innovation” in its many forms. As Director of the AT&T Foundry, she drove the adoption and alignment of numerous start-up solutions across various lines of business.
Ruth has traveled the world speaking on shifting the paradigm of business. She holds a BA from the University of Southern California and an MBA and a Masters in Global Management from Tulane University. She attributes her willingness to get in the trenches to her time working with small businesses in New Orleans.
